Four people die after slipping into 20-feet well in Kupwara  village

Kupwara/July, 2 : Four persons fell into a well and died on Wednesday in Dard Harie village in  Kralpora area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district .

Confirming the incident the officials said ‘they were rescued from the well under unconscious state, and shifted to hospital where they were declared dead”.

Locals along with police and a team of officials  reached the spot,  and rescued the four people, who had slipped into 20 feet deep well.

The officials said on reaching the spot, first the upper surface was broken after which all the four unconscious youth were rescued and evacuated to nearby health centre. “All the four were declared brought dead by the doctors at the health centre,” the officials said . A top police official said the bodies have been handed over to their legal heirs for last rites after all medico-legal formalities
