Uri/July,1: A police Community partnership meeting(PCPG) was on Wednesday held at police station Bhijhama
Precautions Viz a viz proper social distancing and wearing of masks etc were taken. The meet was attended by respectable’ of the area, BDC chairperson Bhijhama, Sarpanches , panchs , market president Bhijhama and other representatives of the area.
A gathering of 20-25 people was addressed , their cooperation was sort regarding the arrangements in view of covid 19 , in curbing social vices/crimes esp drug trade etc, to which the participants assured full cooperation . The PCPG meet was chaired by SDPO Uri. SHO Bhijhama was also present. The issues brought up by the public were heard by SDPO and SHO Bhijhama and they were assured of redressal of problems pertaining to police. Most of the issues brought up during the meet pertained to Civil departments like construction of community bunkers, repair of road stretches, establishment/sanction of bank branches at Bhijhama and Salamabad Dachna , facilitation of mobile communication etc.The members were assured that the issues of other departments will be forwarded to concerned departments through DC Baramulla.
