Ang : Considering the difficulties faced by drivers and transporters in the backdrop of Covid-19 lockdown, the District Magistrate Anantnag, K.K.Sidha Monday handed over 1000 ration kits to the presidents of 10 sumo stands of the town for further distribution among privileged beneficiaries.’
On the occasion DM said the presidents of transport associations and traders federation Anantnag had raised the issue during their previous meeting with district administration for providing free ration to the families of the affected drivers and transporters who have faced problems due to Covid-19 lockdown.
The one month’s ration includes Rice, Aata, Sugar, Tea, Salt, Oil and Pulses to provide helping hand to the affected families during these trying times and the transporters were advised by the District Administration to follow the SOPs and guidelines during traffic regulation.
