Doda: District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, Saturday chaired meeting of key officials of JPDCL and reviewed the functioning of the department in the District.
Threadbare discussion was held regarding the present status of availability of power and distribution system in the district besides various other important measures were thoroughly discussed like augmentation of present power infrastructure for adequate power supply.
Superintending Engineer Chenab Circle apprised the DDC that the district receive power supply through the 132 KV line which is further distributed among various areas of the district through 33 KV and 11 KV lines.
DDC directed the department to augment the requisite Infrastructure in a manner that proper supply can be received and accordingly distributed in all the areas of the district thus reducing the scheduled cuts.
The DDC enlisted key areas which needs immediate intervention which ineter alia included line strengthening, adequate power supply from the main Grid, augmentation in the present Infrastructure, timely completion of the pending arbitration of 132 KV line. He asked the TLMD division Udhampur to complete the joint survey from Ramban to Khaleni on priority basis so that the 5-6 damaged towers can be replaced to ensure sufficient power supply to the district.
While reviewing the progress on languishing and other CSS projects, DDC directed the executing agencies to complete all the pending works besides ensuring procurement of requisite material in the fixed timeline.
DDC expressed concern over work done by Shalaka and Transrail Corporation Limited in the district and directed them to expedite the pace of progress.
