Might is right

A phrase “Might is right” is often used by people who see brute power taking away the right of the weakest as this phrase literally means “those who are powerful can do what they wish unchallenged, even if their action is in fact unjustified”. Interestingly we see this phrase coming true to the extent of changing lives of the people in power and those sitting in opposition in Jammu & Kashmir. “Might is right” means when people in power mean business as has been proved by the actions on ground ranging from downgrading of a glorious state like Jammu & Kashmir to a union territory to abrogation of article 370, unceremonious removal of the erstwhile state flag of erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir from government buildings, constitution of a delimitation panel, announcement and implementation of a new domicile law, scrapping of the erstwhile J&K cadre in All India Services, bifurcation of the civil secretariat, announcement of a new media policy , constitution of a new Public Service Commission and of course even the Chinese incursion in Eastern Ladhak. The mighty mainstream leaders were pushed in lock ups by the mighty Modi Government when Jammu & Kashmir state was bifurcated into two union territories and the special status governed by article 370 and article 35 A was withdrawn . While the mighty mainstream leaders could not get even a release order from the highest court of the country for seven long months, the mighty BJP led NDA government commanded and controlled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the centre announced and implemented new laws and measures including constitution of a delimitation panel, announcement and implementation of a new domicile law, scrapping of the erstwhile J&K cadre in All India Services, bifurcation of the civil secretariat, announcement of a new media policy, a new controversial job policy and constitution of a new Public Service Commission.
The events unfolding since August 5 last year have shown that mightier overpowers the mighty but the world is yet to discover the mightiest. Time for all to ponder over the actions taken with the power of political and military might since August last year.
At the end of the day the Chinese incursions are throwing up a challenge to the biggest army of the second most populous country of the world under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who won a second term as Prime Minister on the slogan of national security. Leaving everything for China to decide the Modi government has moved away from its doctrine of military aggression on borders to resolution of border conflicts through sustained diplomatic engagement and peace prroposals. The events unfolding since August 5 last year have shown that mightier overpowers the mighty but the world is yet to discover the mightiest. Time for all to ponder over the actions taken with the power of political and military might since August last year.
