COVID-19 In JK: 2 more deaths reported, toll reaches 90

Srinagar/June,25:   Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday reported deaths of  two more COVID-19 patients at GMC Jammu and SMHS hospital Srinagar and the COVID-19 death toll as such has mounted to 90, said the health officials .

Health officials at SMHS hospital Srinagar said ” a 75-year-old resident of Mehjoor Nagar area of uptown Srinagar who had tested positive died Tuesday this week at the valley top referral hospital”, adding that “the patient was admitted at SMHS Hospital Monday this week . He had tested positive and died on Tuesday after which the family has taken the body of the patient forcibly for burial”.

The second COVID-19 death was reported at GMC Jammu where Health Officialssaid ” a 57 year old resident of Poonch district who had tested positive died on Thursday morning at GMC Jammu” , adding that “the man was shifted to GMC Jammu from an administrative quarantine in Samba”. He was also having some other body ailments, the officials said, adding that “57-year-old man from Poonch was having diabetes as well as kidney problems”. “He was sent to GMC Jammu from Samba and was treated but died in the late evening hours on Wednesday ,” the officials said. The COVID-19 death toll as such has mounted to 90.
