Srinagar/June,24: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum(JK CSF) Ab Qayoom Wani  on Wednesday sought  one time relief for diagnostic centres of Jammu and Kashmir for renewal of their registration’s till December 2020 keeping in view present volatile situation triggered by the breakout of COVID-19 in March this year and continuing lockdown thereafter.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday Wani said that our Civil Society Forum is  ready to work for improvement in patient care, professionalism and accountbility in Govt and private run hospital and diagnostic center’s for the larger intrest of the society and it must be the priority of govt also, but at the same time we also feel the pain of employees working in both govt and private sector. Wani said that our unemployed educated youth having technical qualifications with regard to health sector and are running private diagnostic center’s need to be appreciated and encouraged without compromising on the professionalism , patient care and accountbility . So for as the private diagnostic center’s are concerned in which thousands of our technically qualified unemployed youth are earning their livelihood and serving to the people in the needy areas are facing lot of difficulties with regard to their registration and renewal of their registration to already established diagnostic centers and clinics as per the information available with the Jammu Kashmir Civil Society Forum order no : 167 dated 19/05/2020 govt has constituted district registration athoritoes for each district of JK for registration of clinical establishments but its unfortunate that non professional officials from other departments have been included in the process which not only tell upon the speedy process of registration but it will also tell upon the professional issues which will have negative effects on the proficiency and technicalities which is primary need for registration . Wani demand that only professional expert’s of health department be included in the registration process of diagnostic center’s for the larger intrest of Society. Wani also said that due to clause 27 sub (1,2,3)of order no SO 168 (renewal of registration need not to b made so harsh to snatch the livelihood / earnings of these young and technically qualified youths. Wani said that due to Continues lockdown from 5 August after abogration of article 370 and 35A and present continuous lockdown due to COVID19 all establishments remained almost closed and thousands of diagnostic center’s whose registration either expired just before 05/08/2019 or after 05/08/2019 till date are facing though time and the circumstances where beyond their control and the files already submitted for renewal where stopped by the department and many renewal submission where regected which has edversaly effected the livelihood of the concerned people . Wani besides all the leaders of JK Civil Society urged upon the administration for providing one time relief and relaxation to the diagnostic center’s for renewal till December 2020 to overcome the crisis keeping in view the present volatile situation due to COVID19.
