SMC’s Finance & Planning Committee meets in Srinagar, approves decision taken previously

Srinagar/June,23 : The Finance and Planning Committee meeting was on Tueday held at Srinagar Municipal Corporation with acting Mayor Parvez Ahmed Qadri presiding over the meeting in his office .

A statement issued from Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) said that the meeting delibrated upon various issues and projects  in presence of Quorum that earlier standed approved. Deputy Mayor Parvez Ahmed Qadri passed on directions that the decisions passed earlier with regard to certain developments stands approved and also needs to be reviewed separately pertaining to different wings. Also the new issues that were in the agenda  regarding finance and planning were disscussed at length.

There were 36 major issues/ points in the agenda that included installation of high end CCTV cameras at Achan,  Flood preparedness installation of high mast lighting poles in flood prone areas of Srinagar city and installation of high mast lights in all the Wards, Costruction of Community hall and Auditorium at  Khanyar, Beutification at different places, Developmentof Municipal parks, Renovation and maintenance of Municipal community centre etc. Qadri in this regard passed on directions that what ever is said,  discussed ,concluded and the decisions taken, needs to be followed in letter and spirit in a time bound manner. Commissioner SMC Gazanfar Ali,  Joint Commissioner Adm, Joint Commissioner Works, Joint Commissioner Planning,  FA/ CAO Secretary SMC and other senior officers were present in the meeting
