Tasaduq Maqbool
The consecrated vale of Kashmir (Mooj Kasheer) is celebrated for breathtaking natural beauty and the probity, hospitality and courage of people living here. The denizens of Kashmir live with the composite culture which is basically the hotchpotch of different societies of the world. People here are pretty amicable and absolutely tolerant to the corollary of decades old Indian occupation. With a God-fearing and god loving outlook, people here usually remain far away from sacrilegious acts which adds to the pulchritude of this valley. On account of this religious outlook, kashmiris have resisted the intrusion of sacrilegious ideas /elements from other beau monde societies. Being savvy about the consequences of COVID-19 that has brought whole Kashmir on tenterhooks and has petrified the entire populace of Kashmir. In such a saturnine environment, our administration came up with the kooky and impudent decision of setting up liquor sale points at different places across the valley. In order to aggravate the pain, only first time since 1990 our administration could generate such paralogical decision of opening the valley of saints for the large scale sale of liquor. COVID-19 lockdown has unveiled the baleful slice if BJP-led govt. of India for the benighted kashmiri be it the novel definition of domicile law or the genocides of impeccant people of Kashmir. At the minute, when whole world is tirelessly working to defeat this pandemic, india is designing multiple adversaries for hapless Kashmir. At this crucial juncture when our administration should have bankrolled the destitute ones, uplifted the quality of care in the health care settings, equipped our COVID warriors with novel and efficient PPE’s etc, it prefers to persistently push us towards the depths of depression, anxiety and uncertainty. Our administration could have imparted our highly educated youth with fecund job policies in order to combat unemployment which is rampant and waxing day by day. Designing this noxious and devilish policy for our youths will surely push them towards the horrific backwoods. The young crop of Kashmir living at the mercy of draconian policies of the govt. now has to withstand unprecedented challenges and distractions. The bars can entice them to get drowned in this ruthlessly orchestrated stratagem.
Opening of liquor sale points will trigger cataclysmic repercussions for sure. Our tender aged /immature buds will surely fall prey to this baleful and sacrilegious policy. This novel tactic will serve no purpose other than bringing our youth on crutches and making our valley impure.
Because of the unending and malefic occupation which has eclipsed our sun for decades, our Kashmir has witnessed mass humiliations, genocides, disappearances and the deterioration of dear assets. Now our feckless administration wants to exacerbate such saturnine atmosphere with the implementation of such shrewdly designed tactic. Is it not paralogical to expect peace and prosperity in such a defiled community?
Decades old unfulfilled promises of india will take shelter behind the deceptive clouds of thia stratagem and the roots of occupation will get irrigated with the blood of unarmed and impeccant people of Kashmir.
On the one hand India is regarding Kashmir as her integral part but on the other hand she is pushing the youths towards the horrific backwoods. Is not it something the administration should be ashamed of? Opening of liquor sale points will trigger cataclysmic repercussions for sure. Our tender aged /immature buds will surely fall prey to this baleful and sacrilegious policy. This novel tactic will serve no purpose other than bringing our youth on crutches and making our valley impure. The holy Quran says, “They ask you about wine and gambling. Say,” in them is great sin and (yet some) benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit. “Alcohol has devastating effects on the human body. It affects almost all organ systems including Nervous system, Digestive system, Circulatory system, Endocrine system etc. With such baneful effects it claims numerous lives across the globe annually. Now it is our prime responsibility to resist such baleful intrusions in our society in order to dodge its stagnation. Much depends upon the bigwigs, our leaders, our preachers, social activists, writers and other religious scholars. They need to utterly condemn this immoral a baneful policy of the administration and motivate common masses to rise against it. Let me conclude by quoting my sweet urdu couplet.
یہ کون سا نیا فساد لے آئے ہو
شباب لوٹ کر شراب پلانے آئے ہو _
