Online Inter Colligate Quiz on “Yoga & Sports”, “National level Collage Making Contest” held at Nowshera

Nowshera: Government Degree College Nowshera in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club organized a “National level Collage Making Contest” in which students and people in general participated.
The event was organized by Nodal Officer, RRC, Prof. Pooja Devi, under the supervision of Dr. Surinder Kumar, Principal GDC, Nowshera.
A total of 90 participants including students from 25 colleges and universities of UT of J&K, Punjab, Delhi, Tamilnadu and Assam, teachers, army and air force personnel as well as ex-servicemen demonstrated various Yoga asanas during the event. Besides, students from different schools of Jammu division also shared their performances of Yogasanas in the competition and Sidharth Sharma, first standard student of Government Primary School Makara, Akhnoor was the youngest participant.
The participants were awarded e-certificates of participation. The result of the contest shall be declared on 21st of June and top 3 positions will be awarded “Certificate of Excellence”.
Meanwhile, GDC, Nowshera also organized an online inter collegiate “QUIZ COMPETITION ON YOGA AND SPORTS” for the students of UT of J&K in which students of different colleges participated.
Iftar Ahmed of Government PG College Rajouri bagged the 1st position while Sakal Sharma, Sonia Choudhary and Amandeep Kour of GDC Nowshera shared 2nd position and Sandeep Kour of GDC Nowshera bagged 3rd Position in the competition.
The competition was conducted by Dr. Akhil Khajuria, HOD Physical Education and Sports and Professor Gurjeet Singh, Program Officer, NSS Unit under the supervision of Dr Surinder Kumar, Principal of the college.
