Srinagar/June, 20 : Three new COVID-19 deaths since Friday late evening hours mounted the COVID-19 death toll to 78 in Jammu & Kashmir .
Health officials at SKIMS Soura said ” A 55-year-old woman of Tujan area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district died on Saturday morning at SKIMS Soura”, adding that ” the woman was referred from SMHS Hospital as a case of meningioma with obstructive sleep apnea on last Tuesday but the cause of the death was cardiopulmonary arrest”.
Health officials at Chest Diseases Hospital Srinagar said ” a 40-year-old woman from the Safa Kadal area of the city died on Saturday morning at the hospital”, adding that “the woman was already suffering from diabetes and cardiac complications and had been referred from SMHS Hospital on June 14 after testing positive “.
Health officials at SMHS hospital Srinagar said ” An 80-year-old Shopian resident, who had tested positive for COVID-19, died in the night intervening Friday and Saturday at the hospital”. With these three deaths the COVID-19 death toll has mounted to 78 in Jammu and Kashmir.
