Jammu/June,16: Jammu and Kashmir Innovative Foundation for Transforming Society(JKIFTS) has today launched a mental health cum de-addiction cell under its Motivational Training Initiative.
Talking to Kashmir Horizon Director JKIFTS, Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo said ” Mental health issues are becoming a grave concern and maximum percentage of people do suffer one or other form of mental health problem during current times including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders and many other illnesses.”
He said that mental health illnesses are a crucial provocative factors responsible for multiple social and behavioral problems. “Drug addiction is one of the major concerning social menaces that needs an effective redressal, besides other addictions”, he said
He said that the stigma associated with mental health issues is unfortunately a big challenge and we need to put our efforts best in breaking this stigma so that people who suffer – will reveal their illnesses and ensure help. “We need to encourage people to reveal their problems and try our best to adress them”,he added
“Keeping in consideration this rising trend, JKIFTS has come up with a Mental health cum De-addiction cell- that is a pannel of mental health experts – Dr Nikhil Gupta ( Psychiatrist) , Dr Arif Maghribi Khan , Dr Farhat Umar , including many other psychologists and experts”, he said. He said that people can freely contact JKIFTS and get help from our expert pannel.
