DDC Shopian hands over motorised tricycles to DAP

Shopian :District Development Commissioner Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin Monday handed over motorised tricycles to 15 differently abled persons (DAP), in a distribution camp.
The camp was organised at Mini Secretariat by Social Welfare Department for differently abled persons belonging to BPL category and having more than 40% disability in lower limbs.
The DDC complimented the Social Welfare Department for organising such distribution camps for such persons and added that the department has worked tirelessly during pandemic to provide pension to 10398 pensioners in a time bound manner.
He further said the department has sanctioned 900 new pension cases during lockdown, thereby brining pendency to zero.
Among others, ADC Shopian Shiekh Abdul Aziz, ARTO, AO, DSWO, TSWO, Women Welfare Officer besides others were present during the event.
