Budgam: Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza Saturday visited various local markets in Budgam to take first hand appraisal of implementation of lockdown guidelines.
During the inspection, the DC checked the market comprehensively, instructions were issued on spot directing shopkeepers to open their shops as per schedule already notified and a garment shop was also seized for violating the lockdown norms laid out in the schedule.
The DC emphasized that wearing of masks and use of hand sanitizers are compulsory for all shopkeepers and customers who visit for shopping, he further reiterated that social distancing should be maintained at all markets to prevent spread of COVID-19 virus.
During the inspection, DC directed Tehsildar, SHO and E.O MCs to ensure that all restrictions are strictly enforced and no complacency shall be accepted which would defeat the purpose of containing COVID-19 virus spread.
Taking strong note of illegal movement of vehicles, DC further directed that only valid card holders duly issued by competent authorities shall be allowed to ply the vehicle.
