Srinagar/June,11: Hours after a gunfight broke out on Thursday morning between militants and the government forces in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district , two militants, who were believed to be in the area, escaped police said.
A senior police officials said the two militants “escaped”. Saying “We had inputs that two JeM militants were there but after firing and throwing grenades, the official said “they escaped. One pistol, six magazines of AK rifles and other materials were left behind” .
As already reported gunfight broke out at Pathanpora area of Budgam. “Encounter has started at Pathanpora area of Budgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Police Zone said on Twitter.
