Srinagar/June,10: Three militants were on Wednesday killed in a gunfight with the government forces in South Kashmir’s Shopian district , police said .
Police official said that gunfight broke out Wednesday morning immediately after government forces launch a cordon and-search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in Sugoo village of South Kashmir’s Shopian. He said that militants fired from their hiding places on the forces personnel who retaliated and three militants were killed in the heavy exchange of fire. He said the identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained as the operation is still underway
