Srinagar/May,28 : A 55-year-old man from Khanpora area of Baramulla died on Thursday morning at GMC Baramulla. With this death the COVID-19 death toll has reached 27 in Jammu and Kashmir, officials sad on Thursday.
Dr. Salim Khan, nodal officer for COVID-19 at the Government Medical College Srinagar said that the man was referred from GMC Hospital Baramulla with fever, respiratory distress on May 27 to SMHS Hospital Srinagar, adding that “patient expired within hours of admission. His sample tested positive on Thursday for SARS COV-2 (COVID-19)”.
Figures indicate that Srinagar district has recorded the highest no of COVID-19 deaths—7 followed by Anantnag and Baramulla with five deaths each. Southern district Kulgam has recorded four deaths followed by Budgam and Jammu with two each and Bandipora and Udhampur with one each.
