Srinagar/May, 26 : A 90-year-old man from South Kashmir’s Kulgam district died on Tuesday due to COVID-19 at SKIMS. With this one more death the COVID19 death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 24.
Medical Superintendent, SKIMS, Dr. Farooq Jan said a 90-year-old man from Kulgam who was referred from GMC Anantnag on Monday afternoon died on Tuesday morning at isolation facility of SKIMS Soura.
The patient was suffering from pneumonia besides having history of chest disease, he said, adding that ‘soon after he was admitted in the hospital, his samples taken for tests were on Monday evening declared positive.
As already reported the death toll due to COVID-19 has gone up to 24 including 21 from Kashmir division and 3 from Jammu division
