Srinagar/May,22: Principal Secretary School Education Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon on Friday said that Rs 160 crores will be spent on school infrastructure with each district getting Rs 8 Crores government schools this year. He however said that 51 Crores of Rs 66 Crores earmarked for schools in Jammu division have remained unspent in the last financial year.

Taking to micro blogging social networking site twitter Principal Secretary School Education Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon wrote “DSEJ/ Jmu failed to utilise Rs 51 crore out of Rs 66 crore funds last fin year for critical infrastructure in Jmu Div despite availability of building materials & skilled labor; Both directors to utilise Rs 160 crore this year.@ Rs 8 crore each for 20 districts across JKUT”
