Jammu/May,21: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has reappointed B R Sharma, former IAS Officer, as Chairman Public Service Commission for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a fresh order Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has appointed Sh. Sharma as PSC Chairman who shall hold the position of the Chairman, Public Service Commission till he attains the age of sixty two years.
The fresh order issued several days after responding the earlier order says that Lieutenant Governor has made the appointment in exercise of powers conferred by section 93 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, and S.O. 3937 (E) dated 31st October 2019, read with the order issued in terms of sub-clause (i) of clause (c) of the proclamation issued by the President dated 31st October 2019.
