Srinagar: Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Tuesday asked the central government to immediately to revoke the new domicile law as it is in total contradiction to the commitments of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister and tantamount to disempowerment of Jammu & Kashmir youth.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday said while the Prime Minister and Home Minister have promised no change in the residential and job rights of the people of Jammu & Kashmir , the new domicile law has been imposed upon the people of Jammu & Kashmir just to disempower the Jammu & Kashmir youth who are already struggling hard for government jobs and employment avenues in both government and private sector.
Saying that Jammu & Kashmir is not a union territory like Pandicherry and Chandigarah but a glorious state downgraded to Union Territory Hakeem urged both the Prime Minister and the Home Minister to immediately revoke the new domicile law in the largest interests of Jammu & Kashmir youth and leave it for the new popular government to take a call on the decision.
