Srinagar/May,18:Former President Employees Joint Action Committee(EJAC) and Civil Society leader Ab Qayoom Wani on Monday sought release of the wages of daily wagers, casual labourers, seasonal workers,HDF employees and contingent paid employees before the forthcoming Eid Ul Fitr.

Wani said that these poor employees are being treated as bonded labourers and are not being heard with human heart. Wani also expressed his resentment over the injustice met with the employees working under NHM who have been barred from regularisation and other service benefits which they deserve keeping in view their service condition . Wani said these heath warriors are frontline workers in all situations even in the present situation of covid 19.”These employes need additional incentives and encouragement instead of delay delaying tactics in resolving their genuine problems”,said Wani. Wani also demanded complete protection kits to the SRTC Employees especially drivers and conductors who are putting their lives at risk for evacuation of stranded passengers , labours, students, business class, patients and bringing them back to their homes from different places within and out side JK . Wani also demanded special insurance cover to them besides other frontline warriors fighting against covid 19. Wani showed solidarity with these employees and assured them full support from Civil Society for their justified struggle.
