He said governments at the centre and state levels should immediately press into service all the available means of transportation to ferry stranded people back to thier homes and hearths without any further delay. He said railways , buses and air traffic should be pressed into service for evacuating the stranded people , after devicing a workable mechanism for ensuring necessary lockdown protocols during the process of evacuation. ” If aeroplanes can be arranged for bringing people from abroad , why domestic flights could not be operated for facilitating the stranded persons within the country to reach their homes ,” Hakeeem Yaseen questioned ?
Hakeem Yaseen has said that government announcements about reaching out to the stranded people are not visible on ground and most of the nodal officer have failed to establish contact with the Stranded people in their jurisdiction. PDF Chairman has also urged the government to equip the sub district hospitals ( SDHs) and primary health centers (PHCs) of the state especially in rural areas with adequate men and machinery so that normal process of treatment to routine patients other than Covid-19 effected persons , could be restored , effectively . “After the outbreak of Covid-19 , treatment facility for common patients in health institutions have come to a grinding halt , which was a matter of great concern , ” Hakeeem Yaseen has said while urging the government to make health institutions fully functional by equipping these with adequate medicos and diagnostic tools . He said while the administration togetherwith health and medical authorities was fully engrossed in containing Coronavirus , various incidents have occurred where common patients have lost their lives allegedly due to inadequate medical attention in the hospitals ,” Hakeeem Yaseen observed while urging the government to make hospitals fully functional for routine work.
