Pulwama : The civilian killed in clashes with the government forces after the killing of Hizb Ul Mujahideen’s Chief Operational Commander Reyaz Naikoo along with his one associate was on Thursday laid to rest in his ancestral village Uthmulla .
Sources said after the killing of Reyaz Naikoo, 18 persons were injured in violent clashes. Four protesters sustained bullet injuries while 14 suffered pellet wounds.Sources said that one of the youth, Jahangir Yousuf Wani, 32, son of Muhamamd Yousuf, a resident of Uthmula, was hit by a bullet in his neck, after the government forces opened live ammunition on the protestors near the encounter site. He died on the spot and is survived by two children and a wife.
Meanwhile, Government forces foiled an attempt from the family of Reyaz Naikoo to erect a tent for visiting mourners. Reports said that forces didn’t allow the family to erect a tent for the mourners.
As already reported Naikoo along with his associate was killed in a fierce gunfight. At least 4 residential houses were razed to ground by Forces during the operation.
As reported already, mobile internet service and calling facility was on Wednesday afternoon suspended in Kashmir after the Hizb Commander Reyaz Naikoo was killed in his native Beighpora village.
