Srinagar/May, 8: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday said that more than 3000 migrant workers, labourers, and others stranded in Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Uttra Khand are returning today. “The no of stranded people returning home rises to 33000″,said the government.
Taking to micro blogging social networking site twitter Government spokesman and Principal Secretary Information and Public Relations Department Rohit Kansal wrote” return of stranded people picks up pace. Nearly 2800 arrived yesterday via Lakhanpur. Over 3000 students, labourers, others from Pb, HP, Chd, HY, UK expected today. Total number of returnees now over 33000. THANK YOU all for your patience and cooperation @diprjk @sahuajeet”.
