Civil secretariat re-opens with LG in attendance amid lockdown in Srinagar

Civil secretariat reopens in Srinagar , Guv inspects guard of honour

Srinagar/May,4 : Amid lockdown over COVID-19, the civil secretariat was on Monday thrown open with Lt Governor Grish Chander Murmu himself in attendance .

All the employees who turned up on the opening day of civil secretariat walked through sanitisation tunnels installed by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation. Before entering the civil secretariat, the Health department also screened the employees with thermal devices to measure their body temperature as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Though darbar would started working at Srinagar from June 15 but Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu also attended the civil secretariat Srinagar and held a meeting with the top government officials.

As already announced by the government, the Darbar will open in Srinagar on 15 June as opposed to its scheduled opening in the first week of May.

The Civil Secretariat will stat working from Srinagar with the staff and officers on an “as is where is” basis, i.e., staff will continue working where they are based.
