Srinagar:The Jammu & Kashmir High Court has appreciated the prompt responses and extensive steps taken by Principal Secretary Social Welfare Shaliendra Kumar and the J&K State Legal Services Authority to address domestic violence issues during COVID-19 lockdown.
“Before parting with this order, we would like to record our deep appreciation for the prompt responses and extensive steps taken by both, the Department of Social Welfare led by Shaliendra Kumar, Secretary, Department of Social Welfare and the J&K State Legal Services Authority under the leadership of Mr. M. K. Sharma, Member Secretary, J&K, State Legal Services Authority,” reads the Court order .
The Court also said that deputy commissioners as well as the secretaries of the District Legal Services Authorities also deserve to be complimented for their commitment to the response to the domestic violence issues during COVID-19 lockdown
