Anantnag/April,30: The first batch of Stranded labourers of Kokernag and its adjoining areas brought back by Anantnag District adminstration reached their residential areas.
“The first batch of 70 labours of different places in kokernag and its adjacent areas who were stuck in Himachal Pradesh reaches their destinations safely”, said the families of the labourers .
A labourer while talking to Kashmir Horizon said that adminstration provide full support during journey and in four places medical checkups and screening will be done for 70 Labourers.
When contacted SDM Kokernag Syed Owais Mushtaq told Kashmir Horizon that at least four thousand five hundred labourers from kokernag constituency are stuck in different places and process of evacuation for all labourers will be done on and those who have reached kokernag will be properly screened and checked in qurantine centeres established after which they will be allowed to join their families. He also said that during screening anyone having Covid-19 like symptoms would be put in quarantine center for treatment, saying that ” there is no need to be panic all labourers will be evacuated in steps” .
