Srinagar/April,26: The Jammu and Kashmir Bank on Sunday put on hold the appointment of a non resident of Jammu & Kashmir as Chief Finance Officer (CFO) saying that appoint was yet to be confirmed
Rejecting the charges of violating the newly announced domicile law from the J&K Apni party Chief Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, the Chairman -Cum-Managing Director Rajesh Kumar Chiber in a statement issued on Sundayclarified that the post of CFO had been advertised before the Domicile Law was finalized.
“After the Domicile Law was enacted by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, the advertisement was put on hold and the selection process was concluded,” reported The Daily Excelsior. However, they said, no formal order of the appointment has been issued.“There will be complete transparency and accountability in the appointments,” the Bank said, adding the institution was now functioning as per the CVC guidelines
It is pertinent to mention here according to the new domicile law of Jammu and Kashmir all the posts will be reserved for the domiciles of UT.announced that all appointments in the Bank will be made according to the Domicile Law issued by the Union Home Ministry for J&K.
