FCS&CA takes various measures to provide relief to public amid Covid-19

Jammu: During the lockdown restrictions imposed due to outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Department of FCS&CA, Jammu has undertaken various measures to provide relief to the public.
Department of FCS&CA, Jammu Division is distributing two months advance ration to the people. It has distributed about 87.84 % of advance ration for the month of April and May among Rationees. Out of 538348.61 Quintal of foodgrains to be lifted, 481462.70 Qtls has been lifted from FCI and 472874.85 Qtls stands distributed among the beneficiaries.
Department is also distributing rice under PMGKAY for the month of April, 2020: It has distributed about 58.04 % Rice under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana to each soul of AAY, PHH and BPL Categories @ 5KG per month. Out of 157884.30 Qtls of Rice to be lifted, 129378.82 Qtis has been lifted from FCI and 91640.22 Qtls stands distributed among the beneficiaries.
Furthermore, department has distributed Pulses (Gram Channa) under PMGKAY to the beneficiaries @ 1KG per month. Out of total allocation of 7750.38 Qtls of Pulses, 5280 Qtls has been received from NAFED and 1223.84 stands distributed among the beneficiaries.
In addition, department has also procured 3 Layer Ply Masks and Hand Sanitizers which have been distributed among the staff, labourers, drivers, health workers and other persons who are engaged with management of COVID-19 outbreak.
