Srinagar: Continuing its sanitization work, a team of workers of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) equipped with protective gear and specialized machines Thursday sanitized various areas of Downtown Srinagar including Jamia Masjid, here Thursday.
The sanitization works were carried at Jamia Masjid, Alam Sahib Shrine, Nowhatta, Kawdara, Chandpora , Rajouri Kadal, Narwara, Khaiwan, Sazgaripora, Sheeshbag, Hawal, Khandbawan, Dailipora, Wantpora, Dangarpora, Jamal Latta, Bohri Kadal and Pandan.
The drive was monitored by Deputy Mayor, Parvaiz Ahmad Qadri who was accompanied by the Joint Commissioner, Administration, Syed Abul Qasim, Health Officer, SMC, Dr. Qazi Javaid and concerned Corporators.
The sanitization chemical mixture was sprayed in various lanes and bye lanes of these areas. Besides, the surroundings of Jamia Masjid and the adjacent market was also sanitized.
Deputy Mayor informed that extensive sanitization drive is being carried in Srinagar to break the chain of transmission of COVID 19.
