Srinagar/April,14: Former Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) and former political leader Abdul Qayoom Wani on Tuesday expressed his dismay over the delay in release of detainees lodged in different jails within or outside Jammu and Kashmir and demanded immediate return of students stuck in different parts of the country and several foreign countries.
In statement issued on Tuesday Wani said “delay in releasing kashmiri detainees in and outside jails painful.Detainees lodged in different jails within or outside Jammu and Kashmir must be released on humanitarian grounds and students stuck within and outside the country should be immediately brought back to their homes in Kashmir.
Wani said that detainees due to continuing countrywide lockdown are cut off from their families and majority of them are senior citizens claiming that most of the old aged detainees are suffering from critical ailments.
Wani also demanded immediate and safe return of J&k students,business class, labours and other people from different parts of country and outside country who are in mental distress, saying that their safe return will save there families from mental trauma at this difficult time. Wani said that kashmiris in & outside India need immidiate and safe return.
