LG greets people on Ambedkar’s birth anniversary

Jammu: Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu and his advisor K K Sharma have in their separate statements extended his good wishes to the people on the eve of birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar.
In his message, the Lt Governor Frish Vhandra Murmu observed that Dr Ambedkar dedicated his entire life for upliftment of the deprived sections of the society. He believed that an ideal society can only be established by ensuring social justice and his services towards the mankind can never be forgotten. Dr Ambedkar not only took a leading part in the framing of the Indian Constitution, outlawing discrimination against untouchables, but his initiatives have influenced various spheres of life and transformed the way India Monday looks at socio-economic policies and education, he added. The Lt Governor urged the people, especially the younger generation to pursue the ideals and messages of Dr Ambedkar which are relevant even Monday and contribute towards strengthening the principles of social justice and equality.
In his message, the Advisor to Lt Governor K K Sharma described Dr Ambedkar as one of architects of Modern India and said he was the leading intellectual and law maker who did a major contribution in giving us the Constitution. He said besides this, his role in ensuring the upliftment of marginalised society and the endeavors taken for their welfare are monumental.His other contributions have also ensured a deep transformation in the socio-econoimc policies, education and other related aspects of the Modern India, the Advisor maintained.The Advisor asked the people and youth to steadfastly pursue the ideals and messages of the great intellectual, so that our nation comes up as a guide for the rest of the world in Social justice and equality among all sections and classes.
