Srinagar/April,8: Fourteen fresh cases of the novel coronavirus were detected in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, taking the total number of COVID-91 cases in the Union Territory to 139, said Rohit Kansal the Government spokesman and Principal Secretary department of information and public relations, Jammu & Kashmir (DIPRJK)
Taking to micro blogging social networking site twitter Kansal wrote “14 news cases today, 11 in Kashmir, 3 in Jammu. 139 cases in all now. 130 active cases, 27 in Jammu division, 103 in Kashmir. Good news too: 2 patients discharges from SKIMS (hospital)”.
More than 37,000 people have been kept under surveillance, including 9,200 who are either in government established quarantine facilities or in home isolation.
