Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Limited (SICOP) Monday contributed Rs 10 lakh to J&K Relief Fund to strengthen the ongoing efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19).
In this regard, Atul Sharma, Managing Director SICOP presented a cheque of Rs 10 lakh to Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce Department, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi as a contribution to J&K Relief Fund. The amount collected shall be deposited in the Relief account as a voluntary contribution from the staff of the Corporation.
Managing Director SICOP apprised the Commissioner Secretary that the donation forms the part of salary of the Corporation’s employees.
He further informed that SICOP is extending all the cooperation and hassle free service to Industrial units who are manufacturing essential.
Moreover, SICOP has supplied 150 liters of sanitizer to various departments and 3000 hospital beds to various hospitals within shortest period of time.
Managing Director, said the Industrial Estates are being sanitized on regular basis and SICOP has also distributed masks to employees engaged in essential services, various Industrial Units and cleaning workers.
The Commissioner Secretary appreciated the initiative taken by SICOP and further asked the Managing Director to ensure that fumigation and cleanliness in Industrial Estates is done on regular basis.
