Srinagar/April, 5:Aijaz Ahmad Kan, the Chairman Employees Joint Consultative Committee an amalgam of several employee associations of the government departments, on Sunday threatened mass street protests by the government employees of all the departments if the government does not immediately adjust 2500 employees of the Jammu and Kashmir State Forest Corporation (J&K SFC) after the winding up of the corporation recently.
In a statement issued here on Sunday Kan said Employees Joint Consultative Committee fully backs the employees of the State Forest Corporation (SFC) rendered jobless by the winding up of the corporation and won’t allow the government to adjust them in any private company or any organisation other than Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department.
He urged Lt Governor Girish Chandra Murmu and Chief Secretary B V R Subrahmanyam to take an immediate call on the adjustment of 2500 employees of State Forest Corporation in Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department as otherwise employees of all the government departments will hit streets in support of the demands of the State Forest Corporation.
