DM G’bal inspects SDH Kangan, takes stock of patient care, availability of essentials, restrictions

G’bal: District Magistrate(DM), Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal along with SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal Friday inspected several locations of the district including Tulmulla, Barsoo, Lar, Manigam, Wussan and Kangan to review the implementation of all relevant advisories pertaining to pandemic COVID-19, besides to take first hand appraisal of availability of essential commodities like food grains, vegetables and LPG.
On the occasion, the DM took an appraisal of the situation and directed the concerned to ensure strict implementation of the requisite advisories especially observing the lockdown and to avoid any gathering to mitigate the risk of infection.
During his visit to these areas the DM directed the concerned officials to ensure that advance two-month ration is distributed at the earliest among the beneficiaries and ensure other essential commodities are made available at the door steps of the people.
Meanwhile, DC also inspected the Sub District Hospital, Kangan and took stock of various health care facilities there. He also visited several units of the SDH including OPD, Gynae section and emphasized the authorities to ensure best health services are provided to the people keeping in view prescribed norms and regulations with respect to COVID-19.
Interacting with the patients, he urged them to follow the health advisories and maintain social distancing.
The DM exhorted field functionaries to identify person suffering due to shortage of essential commodities in the present circumstances so that district administration can take appropriate measures.
