DDC Kishtwar visits landslide hit areas

Kishtwar: District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara Friday visited the landslide hit habitation of lower Bidda in Revenue village Bhagna and Bhatan of Panchayat Bhagna , tehsil Nagseni and redressed the grievances of the landslide hit residents there.
He was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar and Tehsildar Nagseni, Nayiem Iqbal Sheikh, residents of the Lower Bidda and others.
During his visit, the DDC took stock of ground position of the damage inflicted to the houses and other structures of the inhabitants.
Pertinent to mention that on the intervening night of March 31, 2020 due to the heavy rain residents of lower Bidda village observed some shooting stones and 9 residential structures near the landslide hit area were damage.
With the timely intimation to the residents of village about the slide followed by proactive measures taken by Tehsildar Nagseni The district administration has provided tents for temporary stay to the families.
DDC while interacting with the inhabitants assured them that all possible steps for their relief and rehabilitation shall be taken in time bound manner. He also urged them to follow the guidelines and SOPs to prevent themselves from the threat of spreading corona virus infection and ensure proper social distancing in this regard.
