Jammu/April,3: In its efforts to provide protection gears to the police personnel fighting the COVID-19 across Jammu and Kashmir, Police headquarters has issued directions to its welfare centres,and other Units for making up good quality masks and gowns out of locally procured clothing as the items are in short supply.
Following the orders the welfare centres of Jammu and Kashmir police at district headquarters and units of armed wing have started the process of making the good quality of masks and personal protection Gowns for the distribution among police personnel working tirelessly against the COVID-19 in different capacities.
The Personnel deployed on Quarantine Centres will be equipped with these protective gears in the first instance as the exposure to and risk of complications is much higher at these places.
These centres of Jammu and Kashmir police, district Police and armed Units are working 24×7 for this purpose so that sufficient protection gears are prepared to ensure the safety and well-being of police personnel who are working day in and day out for the safety of people
