19 students quarantined at GCPE Gadoora

Ganderbal:  Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal Friday saidhassle free facilities are being provided to quarantined persons at Government College of Physical Education (GCPE) Gadoora, Ganderbal which has been earmarked as Administrative Quarantine Center in the district.

The DC said this during his visit to the College where 19 students are quarantined who have recently arrived from the Bangladesh and other places outside the UT of J&K.

During the visit, the DC was accompanied by ADC Ganderbal, President Municipality Committee, Ganderbal, Tehsildar Ganderbal, EO Municipality, BMO and other concerned district officials.

The visit was aimed to have first hand appraisal of the arrangements for quarantined persons besides to get feedback from them about the arrangements put in place by District Administration.

During the visit, the DC reviewed the facilities made available there including bedding, electricity, water, toiletries, adequacy of security, logistics like food, essential commodities, medical surveillance and sanitation arrangements.

After reviewing the arrangements, the DC directed the concerned to ensure that the quarantine guidelines are implemented strictly while making sure that the patients are provided adequate comforts and proper medical care.

Notably,  the district administration Ganderbal has also earmarked Youth Hostel Sonamarg, Govt. Degree College Kangan, JNV Hatbura and J&K Saink School Manasbal for accommodation of persons to be quarantined, if need arises.

While interacting with the designated administrators, he exhorted them to ensure provisions of all facilities are available for the quarantined persons as per the guidelines at the centre.

Speaking on the occasion the DC said all quarantine centers earmarked in the district are equipped with all requisite facilities to ensure comfortable and safe stay for the quarantined persons.
