DDC, Bandipora reviews quarantine facilities in the distt, calls for providing all prescribed facilities

Bandipora: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza Tuesday directed the officers to provide all requisite facilities at quarantine centres in the district prescribed under the guidelines of Ministry of Family Health Welfare Department and WHO.
He said this while reviewing facilities being provided at designated quarantine centres in the district established for the citizens arriving from abroad or Corona virus affected areas to prevent spread of the virus in the district.
He directed the staff to strictly follow the SOP with regard to the facilities prescribed by WHO and Ministry of Family Health Welfare Department, Government of India being provided to the quarantine centres including daily clinical examination, establishment of infection prevention control measures, lodging catering laundry, bio-medical waste management and other logistics.
The meeing was informed that 20 Qurantine Centres have been established in the district so far with maximum capacity of about 250 beds and 78 persons have been put under quarantine in the district including 25 at administrative quarantine and 43 under home quarantine in the district sofar. Besides, 11 residents of the district have also been put under quarantine outside the district including 9 in Srinagar and one each at Ganderbal and Jammu.
The Deputy Commissioner visited designated quarantine centres at Chitternar, Government Degree College Patushai and One Stop Centre at Nishat Park and took stock of the arrangements in place. He asked the officers to ensure adequate arrangements in these Quarantine Centres as per SOPs prescribed by Ministry of Family Health Welfare Department, Government of India.
He asked the nodal officer to work in tandem with Office of Divisional Commissioner, Director, Airport Authority Srinagar along with Bandipora Police and health Department for arranging foreign return Citizens and Students of the district and their lodging at various Quarantine Centres.
The quarantine Centres have been established at TRC Authwatoo, Harmukh Hotel Athwatoo, Forest Training Institute Chitternar, Forest office Chitternar, Tourist hut Wullar Vintage Park, Tourist Interpretation Centre, Wullar Park, Indoor Stadium Shadipora, Degree College Bandipora, Degree College Sumbal, TRC Gurez, Dak Bungalow Gurez, Govt Deghree College Gurez, ITI Gurez, Gurez House Pazalpora, Faiz-e-Aam Secondary School , Bandipora Kashmir Tibbiya College Shilvath Sumbal, One Stop Centre Premises, Nishat Park Bandipora, Syed Jaffar-ud-Din Secondary school Ajas and Guest House Sumbal.
He said the Supervisory Officers and nodal officers have also been designated for each quarantine centre established across the district who will assist and report the Nodal Officer on daily basis for ensuring arrangements.
