Kishtwar: The people of district Kishtwar yesterday observed the complete shutdown besides observed social distancing practices to prevent the spreading corona virus in a response to the order issued by District Magistrate Rajinder Singh Tara for the shutdown of all establishments and services except essential commodities/services in view of the situation due to prevailing COVID-19 threat in the district.
DM appreciated the public of Kishtwar for their cooperation with administration in observing the shutdown and following the initiatives of administration in combating the spread of COVID-19.
He also appealed to the public to follow all the SOPs and maintain social distancing so that the chain of infection, if any, could be broken.
He also assured the public that the administration will ensure the uninterrupted supply of essentials like water, eatables, power, medical services etc. during this shut down and appealed to the public to discourage the panic borrowings.
He further asked people for postponing the social gatherings and functions and called for staying at their homes for being safe and secure.
