COVID-19: Ganderbal admin intensifies sanitation, fumigation drive

Ganderbal: continuing its efforts to breakdown the chain of Corona Virus infection, on the instruction of Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, Municipal Committee Ganderbal Monday carried an intensive fumigation and sanitation drives at all public places across the district with focus on town.
The Deputy Commissioner monitored the drive during which various places of vital public importance were sanitized as a move to mitigate the risk of infection.
The Deputy Commissioner hailed people for their co-operation in following the health advisories adding that public lockdown and social distancing are the most effective measures to combat the spread of covid-19 and to contain its propagation outbreak.
He appealed media and other stakeholders to support the district administration in augmenting preparedness by way of following health advisories strictly.
The DDC said no corona case has been confirmed in the district so far although 8 persons who have returned from abroad have been quarantined in the district, 5 are under administrative quarantined and 3 are Hospital quarantined. Besides as a precautionary measure section 144 CrPc will remain imposed in entire territorial jurisdiction of district till March 31st.
