Srinagar: Three persons were on Monday booked for concealing their travel history to Coronavirus affected countries in Kashmir valley.
The development comes a day after authorities warned of strict action against people, who conceal their travel history.
A police official said two persons of Awantipora in south Kashmir district of Pulwama had concealed their travel history in order to evade necessary quarantine process. “A case under relevant sections has been registered against them at Police Station Awantipora,” he said.
Official sources said the duo had recently returned to Goripora and Charsoo villages of Awantipora with a travel history of Pakistan and Bangladesh. “The duo has been sent to EDI Pampore, where they have been kept under quarantine,” they added.
They said that a person, who returned from Bangladesh, didn’t disclose his travel history to evade quarantine in central Kashmir district of Genderbal. “A case has been registered against the individual,” they said.
As many as 29 people coming from Coronavirus affected countries, who skipped medical teams by changing routes or concealing travel history to avoid quarantine, were tracked by authorities.

Medical, IT & Surveillance teams today were able to track 29 people coming from Bangkok, UK, Dubai, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan etc who skipped medical teams by changing routes or avoiding travel history. Love you all,” Mr Chaudhary wrote on his micro-blogging site twitter.
He said in last three days, authorities have accommodated 1196 people traveling from Bangladesh, Ladakh, Bangkok, Dubai, Combodia, UK etc at 24 facilities, in different categories of risk.
