Abduction of Rubiya Sayeed: Lawyers remain absent, Malik appeared through video conference

Jammu: TADA Court in Jammu on Friday listed the case related to the abduction of Dr Rubiya Sayeed for next hearing on March 30 after the accused and their Counsels didn’t appear in the court.
In wake of Coronavirus threat, neither lawyers, nor the accused appeared in the court, however, banned Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front incarcerated leader Muhammad Yasin Malik appeared through video conference and his statement was recorded.
Pertinently, on January 25, 1990, four Indian Air Force personnel including Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna died in a militant attack in Rawalpora area of Srinagar outskirts.
The court listed the case for next hearing on March 30 this month.
Besides, Muhammad Yasin Malik, the accused in the case are Wajahat Bashir Qureshi, Muhammad Iqbal Ghandro, Muhammad Zaman Mir, Javaid Ahmed Mir and Mehraj Ahmed Sheikh were present
