FIR on man for covering Covid 19 positive daughter in Agra, total 13 Coronavirus patients in UP

Lucknow/Agra: Uttar Pradesh became the first state in the country to register an FIR against the father of a Novel Coronavirus patient in Agra, who tried to cover up, while the number of positive cases of COVID-19 reached 13 in the state on Sunday.
Officials in Agra said that it was the first FIR, in relation to the Epidemic Act in the country.
The FIR was registered against the railway officer, posted with Sadar police station in Agra, under Sections 269 and 270 of IPC and relevant Sections of the Epidemic Disease Act 1897.
The man had given wrong information to the officials that his daughter, who came in contact with the virus along with her husband during their honeymoon in a foreign country.
The woman came to Agra via Delhi, but when the authorities asked her father, he said that she has left for Bangalore. But later, it was found that she was in the house, situated at the railway colony.
Now, the woman is admitted in the isolation ward of Agra Medical College Hospital and her test came out positive, confirming her as the 13th COVID-19 patient in the state.
The KGMU on Sunday tested 60 samples, of which 59 were negative and just one of the Agra woman tested positive.
Officials here said that now, the highest number of eight patients are in Agra, two each in Lucknow and Noida and one in Ghaziabad.
Doctors said that all 13 patients are admitted in different hospitals in UP and Delhi and are stable. In UP till now, samples of 617 people were sent for test, in which 604 were found negative.
