Samba: The team of Legal Metrology Department conducted surprise raids on various stationary shops in district Samba and booked various traders for selling uniforms and other stationary items without mandatory declarations violating the Legal Metrology Act.
Assistant Controller LMD Samba Rajesh Heera imposed a fine of Rs 75000 on 3 traders after taking undertaking that they will sell the stationary items as per the provisions of Legal Metrology Act.
The Assistant Controller further appealed to the parents and guardians to approach Legal Metrology department Samba in case of any complaint regarding the unfair trade practices adopted by any trader,.
