DDC Budgam chairs 70th bankers DLRC, DCC meet

Budgam: The District Development Commissioner, Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganai, who is also Chairman of DLRC Budgam Friday, presided over 70th District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting, here Friday.
Among others, the meeting was also attended by Zonal Head J&K Bank, Syed Shujat Hussain Andrabi, CPO, Rafiq Ahmad, GM DIC, Mohammad Ashraf, Convener of the meeting Lead District Manager Miyan Farhat Manzoor, Director RSETI, Budgam Tahira Parveen, DDM Nabard Junaid Hakeem, DIO Tajamul Yousuf, officers of line departments, bank heads operating in the district.
The Lead District Manager Budgam, Miyan Farhat Manzoor presented the performance of all banks and line departments of the district for ending December of 2019-20. He said banks up to the ending quarter December-2019 have disbursed an amount of Rs. 929.13 crores out of which Rs.546.49 crores and Rs.382.64 crores have been disbursed under priority and non-priority sectors respectively.
He said the district has recorded a CD ratio of 92.36 percent for quarter ending December 2019, terming it as best ratio across the Jammu and Kashmir, with lowest NPA percentage rate.
The meeting was informed that under the annual District Credit Plan, 37116 cases against the target of 74680 have been sanctioned under various sectors thus achieving 69.93 percent target up to ending Decmeber-2019.
The DCC while observing the performance and progress emphasized on priority sector lending particularly under key sectors of agriculture, horticulture, handicrafts, handloom and stressed on underperforming banks to do more in lending.
The chair was informed that DIC has sponsored 276 and KVIC has sponsored 626 PMEGP cases. GM DIC was instructed to conduct awareness programs on government sponsored schemes and attract aspiring entrepreneurs to avail benefits of schemes from other banks too other than J&K bank. He instructed that there should be no unnecessary delay in sponsoring, sanctioning and disbursing of cases by line departments and banks.
On non-sponsoring of ACC cases under Handicrafts, the chairman instructed concerned to take up matter with the higher authorities. The chairman called upon concerned to ensure sanctioning of KCC cases to all pending beneficiaries, without any delay.
