Ang: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Dar in a message has advised people of the district not to be panic, instead take preventive measures, as prevention is better than cure and adhere to the instructions being given by the Health Department.
He appealed people to refrain from unnecessary travel and gathering. He added that, so far District Anantnag is safe from the infection and will remain so with the coordination of the people.
He said special teams have been constituted at District, Block and Zonal levels to monitor the situation, besides isolation wards have been made available in district hospital.
With regard to the people who have recently returned from the affected countries and those who have performed the Umrah recently, are being monitored, the DC said.
