Srinagar: Buchpora Habak residents have demanded authorities to construct  Paediatric and Bone & Joint hospitals in Bagat-e-Shoor area where 60 kanals of land are lying vacant.

A delegation of the locality told KNS that due to congestion and traffic mess on the roads leading to Lal Chowk and adjoining areas, patients are suffered badly while reaching to medical facilities like SMHS, B&J hospital Barzulla for treatment.

Delegation also said due to frequent traffic jams and geographical terrain, infants who needs medical intervention reaches late to facilities.

They said the said demand is not fresh but older one.

“We have taken up the issue since January 2018 with the offices of Chief Secretary, Divisional Commissioner and concerned Deputy commissioner and still are moving from pillar to post but of no vail”, it said.

They added, last time Div Com passed directions to concerned DC and asked him to submit detailed report but despite passing of months, no report has been submitted.

They appealed authorities to take concrete measures on compassionate grounds and ensure permission of medical facilities in the area which will lessen the burden of patient flow on city centred hospitals. (KNS)
